Really poor experience on Mother's Day 2017. Drove from 40 minutes away to check it out. Ordered simple breakfast meals for Sunday lunch. Waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for meals to come out which ended up being very scanty for the price and tasted on par with a Grand Slam from Denny's which costs 1/3 less.
The worst part was they weren't that busy (empty tables were around) and everyone at the restaurant was getting visibly frustrated and multiple parties left after waiting 1+ hour for food to show up. Only good thing was that our server was friendly and she gave us 50% off the total bill for the poor experience. Won't be returning.
Great Food, Great Staff and Great Atmosphere. What else to say?
Let me just say... I was taken by surprise. It's an amazing building with the bar placement and the setting feels classy and comfortable. The staff are great at there work. Now the best part.... there Carolina shrimp and grits are the best I've had in NC. Actually I travel to Charleston alot. And these grits will compete with the best found there. They use a good medium size grit that is absolutely not instant. Love it and impressed.
I had the New York Strip with Sweet Potatoes and Sauteed Asparagus, the dish was perfect although the steak was just a bit overcooked. My Husband ordered the Rich Chicken with Carrots and Broccolini and it was cooked to absolute perfection. The wait staff was wonderful and very accommodating.
Incredible food, drinks and service. I had rented the bistro for a private dinner and would highly recommend it if you enjoy fine dining. Paul was an excellent host, server and bartender!
