Had a blast here today. The visitors center is very nice, family friendly and the staff was great. The trails were fun, not as well marked as others I have been on, but still easy to follow. The mosquitos were INSANE, which it's outdoors so it's to be expected in North Carolina, just take lots of bug spray. Overall a good place for a fun outdoor adventure with the family.
Pretty park. Nice walking trails. Pretty but primitive campground. Unguarded swim beach.
Beautiful end to a beautiful state park filled day with a sunset on the Palmico River. Every state park is a wonderful jewel in the crown of my home state and Goose Creek is no exception.
Wonderful Park every direction you go in the park under walking trails has different scenery which makes it really nice plus they have a primitive Campground now that I think it's $5 a night to camp it does have close by restrooms.
I would say that this state park would be considered a hidden gem in our wonderful state. We walked a few trails and they are well kept and extremely easy to walk on. I believe there's around 7 miles of walking trails. The park had ample parking near the back. The swimming areas are a bit different than other states parks. I would consider them a bit more natural. Water shoes are highly recommended because of fallen branches and such. The shoreline was clear and could be great for young ones.
