During our wedding, my family stayed at the Inn for the weekend. The beds were comfy, the food was delicious and it felt like a second home. It is evident in their work that John and Richard truly enjoy their guests and the Inn. We will always hold a special place in our hearts for the innkeepers and their inn.
My wife and I were touring North and South Carolina in an effort to find a place we might like to retire. We spent two nights and two and 1/2 days at the Elmwood before moving on. Our experience such we that we both continue to talk about it two weeks later. Our breakfast, both days was unparalleled by any breakfast I have had before. The rooms were decorated so well that I asked John if we could hire he and Richard to decorate our house, wherever that may be. The Elmwood however, is more than good food and good company. It is a place that you will always remember and be the standard by which you judge all else.
There is something particularly fascinating and wonderful about seeing and experiencing places you dream about. Elmwood is that place.
Richard and John have created an amazing hospitality experience. Their rooms are very elegant but also very comfortable. The breakfast is incomparable AND they are great, friendly hosts! I highly recommend staying at Elmwood!
My husband and I recently had our wedding at the Elmwood and our reception on their boat - The Belle of Washington. I don't often use this word - but everything was perfect. Richard and John accommodated our families and our wedding wishes down to the tiniest detail. Both were easy to work with, provided great ideas and helped to make the wedding of our dreams come true.
