I enjoyed my stay. The pool needed cleaning very bad. And it doesn't open to 11am. I have been to another Hampton Inn that opened @ 6am. Which is nice for early birds like me. The breakfast was great! And the staff was friendly. ☺
I've spent about 5 months out of 2017 at this hotel, and it could be better. The housekeeping staff does a horrid job ( when they actually address your room) the staff isn't the best I've seen, but they have good and bad. Jessie and Sarah at the front desk are their two best employees. Another young girl (Rebecca) has a less than desirable attitude, and has a tendency to be a bit rude towards guests. The rooms are so-so, some of the plugs don't work and the Wi-Fi signal and cellphone signal are junk. I noticed some nights they only have one girl working, which in my eyes is a HUGE safety concern. I give this hotel 2 stars based on it being a Hampton but running like a Motel 6.
Room was very clean and quiet. It was close to restaurants and attractions. It's about 30 minutes from ECU. Continental breakfast was great, many choices to choose from. I would recommend staying here.
Used to stay here all the time and loved it. I drive an electric vehicle and now the New Fairfield across the street has EV charging. I stay there now so I can drive and recharge my EV. Come on Hampton, you can put these in too..
The rooms were very clean, well appointed, and have WiFi and charging stations. But, in total, the 169.00 a night price tag, normal for Washington DC, is hardly appropriate for the little burg of Washington NC. Even on Columbus Day weekend. ANYTHING over $100 a night is patently ridiculous!
